Andrew's 5th Birthday

Andrew's Super Hero pose
OK, so I'm finally getting around to updating you all on the BIG PARTY! Andrew turned 5 this past week and his party was on Saturday. It was put together by the Coffey/Chapman aunties and was a huge hit! The theme was Super Hero's and there were super hero capes, masks, cupcakes and decorations. Andrew LOVED it!! We invited a lot of kiddos from the squadron and Andrew's school, total, there were about 20 kids with at least 15 parents too! We were very lucky to have beautiful weather so we set up the jumpy castle, Egyptian tent and other play things so everyone was outside most of the time. Phew! I don't know where we would have all fit in the house! Like I said, the Coffey/Chapman aunties organized everything, from the decorations to a meal plan for the whole weekend. We had an amazing chef "in residence" and ate well at every meal! Wonder Woman and the whole Incredibles family made an appearance during the party and all the kiddos loved being thrown into the jumpy castle by the guy with "all the muscles". All the kids who came could actually make their own capes and masks and some of the parents got in on it too. ;)

Andrew and James loved having a lot of their Coffey family and Gram here to celebrate with them, but I think their favorite was Cousin Gabe. They played together ALL weekend and all three boys were pooped every night from it. When they left for the airport Andrew was still napping, but we knew he would be sad if he didn't get to say goodbye, so I tried to wake him up. He told me sleepily that he would give Gabe a hug when he saw him next time and promptly went back to sleep. It was a slightly different story when he woke up though, he was very sad that Gabe had left and said that he'd changed his mind about saying goodbye. Very sad. :( Luckily, we will see them this summer sometime, so he'll get to give him all kinds of hugs then.

Enough talking, here are some pictures from the party.

Auntie Shannon made comic book covers, T-shirts and invites for both boys. Andrew was The Bolt and James was The Crusher. These are Super Hero poses.

Prepping the night before.

The comic book cover and birthday cupcakes. Aren't they great!

Wonder Woman and Crusher.

Andrew and some buddies.

James and his cape.

Mr. Incredible was very popular!

James and Uncle Russ had a lot of fun this weekend!

Blake was very excited to have so many visitors.

Andrew's cape.

I know Rob wishes he could have been there, but we made sure he showed up in some pictures at least.

Baby Incredible.

The T-Bolts made an appearance too. All the spouses (they were kind enough to include me too) made capes and masks. On the back, it spells out TBOLTS. Rob seemed to like it. :)
